I’m not sure where the summer has gone. Seems like yesterday we were clearing snow. When you are having a good time the calendar seems to go
quicker. And I have had, and am having, a great time serving this wonderful, vibrant and invested church.

The last five years have indeed flown. Now God takes us into the future with many unknowns. None of us knows what tomorrow will bring. Surely some joy and some sorrow.

As I look back we have been faithful in serving God’s church, not only in Lincoln but far beyond. We have never failed to contribute fully to the mission.

Shares (formerly known as apportionments, a term I prefer). That’s because there is a portion for us and a portion for the church word wide. What awaits us in service to God’s children?

Whatever it is, I know we will rise up and do our share to meet the need of the lonely, the sick, the dying, the families in grief, the little children and the children within each of us. This is God’s church as we are honored to be part of that work.

“Well done good and faithful servant.” Matthew 25:23.
